Unyenyekevu CBO is a community-based nonprofit in Kenya working with underprivileged children, people with disabilities and vulnerable families to improve access to education, healthcare, and psycho-social support.
Unyenyekevu CBO was formed from within the communities we serve, shaped by lived experience and local leadership. Our work is grounded in listening, partnership, and a commitment to walk alongside children, families, and people living with disabilities, not just deliver short-term aid.
We believe meaningful change happens when communities are respected, involved, and supported for the long term.
In Kakuma, we work with displaced families to strengthen education, care, and psychosocial support for children and people with disabilities.
Our programs focus on Kakuma Refugee Camp and communities in and around Kitale, responding to displacement, poverty, and long-term neglect with community-led support.
In Kitale and nearby communities, we work with local partners to improve access to education, healthcare, and psychosocial support.
